
Alappuzha
beach, also known as Alleppey beach is one of the favourite beach
destination in the state of Kerala in South India. Situated along the
Malawar coast with a number of lakes, lagoons and rivers, Alappuzha is a
place of everlasting natural beauty. Often referred to as the Venice of the
East, Alappuzha is famous for its boat races, backwater holidays, beaches,
marine products, etc.
The pier at the beach, which extends into the sea here, is around 140 years
old.

Alappuzha beach offers numerous beach activities including exciting water
sports like surfing or parasailing, swimming in the sea, beach volleyball
and boat racing.
The Snake Boat Races and the Nehru trophy boat race are the famous boat
races in Alappuzha which attract thousands of spectators to watch these
spectacular boat races.
